Creek ReLeaf Maintenance Program

Please consider signing up to help us with this important work and we will arrange a suitable time to work together.

After we have planted our Creek ReLeaf trees maintenance is required to maximize the likelihood our trees will grow to maturity. Most of our planting sites are in the floodplain and experience flooding a few times a year. This can cause weed mats to be washed away, tree tubes to lean over, etc. Weed growth inside the tree tubes also can occur and tree growth of new branches can sometimes become tangled in holes within the tree tubes. We need volunteer help with short 2-3 hour events to trim growth, remove weeds, replace weed mats, straighten tree tubes, etc. Please consider signing up to help us with this important work and we will arrange a suitable time to work together. This is a great opportunity for employee groups to get involved and help support the attainment of Charlotte’s goal to reach a 50% tree canopy by 2050. Sites can be adopted for regular maintenance.
