Creek ReLeaf 2019

Creek ReLeaf 2019 will take place from 9 to noon on Saturday, November 23rd, at two locations. We will need a total of 300 volunteers this year to undertake maintenance on the thousands of trees that have been planted previously on these sites to insure they continue to thrive. The work will involve pruning, weeding, removing, straightening or replacing tree tubes, mats and stakes and retying tubes to stakes.

One site is located at 7644 Henderson Park Road in Huntersville. This site is along McDowell Creek where over 4,500 trees were planted beginning in 2008. The second location in Charlotte is currently full. Please consider volunteering at the Huntersville location. The Charlotte location is at 222 Wyanoke Ave, adjacent to Briar Creek and Chantilly Park near Bojangles Coliseum. This site was planted with 1500 trees in 2015.

All tools and gloves will be provided as well as coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and water. Creek ReLeaf leaders will be on hand to provide guidance and instruction at each site.
